Patch

A patch, is a file commonly used in Super Mario World hacking, mainly to fix bugs present in the original game and add new, completely custom features as well. Patches usually contain uncompiled 65C816 assembly (ASM) in the .asm file format. All patches are compiled using Asar, although previously deprecated tools such as TRASM and xkas were used. Patches are also used alongside other tools, such as PIXI, and AddmusicK.
