Super NT

Overview

The Super NT is a Field Programmable Gate Arrays (FPGA) hardware based SNES console, designed and manufactured by Analogue, Inc. The Super NT is not an emulation device, and runs real hardware and cartridges. It promises zero lag and complete accuracy. It is compatible with any region SNES game and peripheral such as the Super Scope, Super Gameboy etc.

Jailbreak Firmware Support

Analogue does not formally support the use of jailbreak firmware for their products, however not long after the release of the Super NT, these types of firmware surfaced. Jailbreak Firmware allows the user to flash the Super NT's firmware to allow additional feature such as:

• Running ROMs from the SD card slot
• Dump Cartrige ROMs via Copy SNES
• Custom Fonts
• SPC Player

Jailbreak ROM Limitations

Although the Super NT can accurately run game cartridges with special chips such as the Super FX for Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island, running ROMs via the jailbroken firmware will be unable to play games that used certain special chips.
