The LM324 is a quad op-amp chip. According to the jwdonal schematic, revision 2 (NTSC) of the SNES Motherboard has one of these chips. These are which circuits the four op-amps inside it are for:
- op-amp A, part of the Post-Amplifier or Analog Mixer, for the left stereo channel
- op-amp B, part of the Post-Amplifier or Analog Mixer, for the right stereo channel
- op-amp C, part of the Pre-Amplifier, for the left stereo channel
- op-amp D, part of the Pre-Amplifier, for the right stereo channel
