VS is a 9 voltage supply as described on the jwdonal schematic. It is connected to (at least):

  • Q18, a BJT who's emitter appears to generate it
  • Q16's collector
  • Q17's collector
  • R49, which itself is connected to the MUTE line
  • R50, which itself is connected to the Post-Amplifier
  • C80
  • The Pre-Amplifier D op-amp
