The four VSS pins in regions D3 and D4 of the jwdonal schematic

VSS is the name of multiple ground pins, as described on the jwdonal schematic. They are:

  • pins 26 and 58 of the S-SMP
  • pins 12 and 52 of the S-DSP

VSS appears in the 65c816 datasheet in Table 2-2, where it means "Internal Logic Ground." [1]
